In the modern day, audiences can watch music videos on platforms such as YouTube which is free to access. 2) What opportunities has the growth of digital technology and YouTube created for new music artists? It has made it easier for them to grab audiences attention and making themselves famous by uploading videos of them singing. However, with artists that are already in the music industry it could be argued that the growth of technology has dramatically led to a decrease in how much those artists get paid for their songs as most of the time, only audiences are benefited. 3) What is P2P and why did it cause huge problems for the music industry? P2P is where fans distribute artist's music amongst themselves illegally. It has caused huge problems for the music industry as audiences were getting music for free meaning artists weren't getting paid whilst their work was out there for everyone to listen to.
