1) What were the first videogames like?
The first game had a simple goal and it was very basic.


2) How have videogames changed over time?
The graphics in videogames have become better and now there is a variety of different places where they can be played such as game consoles, computers and mobile phones.


3) What do the most successful games have in common? Answer this in as much detail as you can. Think about audience pleasures - what do people like about playing video games?
-Most video games have some sort of goal the end of them, through levels/stages making the players more interested to play on to victory. 


4) What criticisms have been made towards video games?
Criticism that have been made towards videogames are that they are too violent and they influence young children to think its ok. Also, people will say that games are addictive and stunts your mental development.

There are more than 200 m Fortnite players worldwide.


2) Why is it so popular? What are the audience pleasures of the game?
Fortnite is so popular because it has a element of surprise to the game and the trill of killing people to get kills and win a "victory royal" excites them.
 

3) Why might some people criticise Fortnite? 
Some people may criticise  Fortnite because of how addictive the game is which isn't good for anyone  especially young kids as they mainly play the game.

I agree  with this statement as it is in a cartoon format it is suitable for children.

Computer games naturally get them more engaged in computing which leads being interested in Science and engineering
I disagree with this statement as it could be played because of could be bored purposes which can heavily lead them becoming  addicted to the game.
