WWW: This is well structured and has a clear argument with excellent use of terminology.
EBI: You need to use more clear examples of what you are claiming.
2) What was the word count for your essay?
596
3) What was your strongest paragraph? Why do you think it was better than others?
My strongest paragraph was the introduction to media industry and how it gives audience more power. I think i did well in this paragraph because i used media terminology.
4) What was your weakest paragraph? Why do you think it wasn't as good as others?
My weakest paragraph was the music, film and tv industry because I didn't add media terminology in the tv industry paragraph and for the music industry paragraph i talked about social media.

One reason why I strongly agree with this statement is because of the media industry. Industries are the producers, the companies that produce (make) and distribute the media product this leads to industries having a strong interest in who their target audience is so that they can best appeal to them. Due to most people self- promoting themselves nowadays for the public to see by uploading a video of themselves onto YouTube or any other social media sites and if enjoyed in the public eye, many supporters will help boost their status by sharing their video. However before the internet, people had to be signed onto record labels to become an actual artist. An advantage is that self-promotion is less of a risk for record labels as they don’t have to pay for the artists as much as they did before. This creates a massive advantage for the record label as signing artist who have already created a fan base on social media is less risky than singing unknown people and hoping they are goods Putting videos on social media is likely to go more viral as audiences will share, like and comment more. A disadvantage is that once you have uploaded the music, people can copyright it and claim it their own. You won’t be rewarded (given money) if the video goes viral, unless you become quite famous or well-known to do concerts ;Thus giving audiences more power.
Another reason is due to the film and tv industry as this allows individuals to record a certain program that they want to watch later on. This is done very easily by downloading a program onto any device available and watch it later on that day for example just binge watching an episode of 'Stranger things'.
One advantage is that downloading , streaming or recording as this allows the immediacy for audience to watch whatever they want, whenever they want, wherever they want. This can also lead the audience to binge-watch as there is a greater amount of choices to pick from which allows gratification for the audience. One disadvantage is that the virtual world makes a person become very antisocial and stops you from socialising with the real world for example getting fresh air, hanging out with friends, visiting places…etc. In addition, some films might be banned from the country and watching it might be illegal. When a new film recently comes out, social media is there as a "spoiler alert" and can ruin the show for you, giving audience more power.
