Camera movements
Three camera shots used:
In prison break at 0:20 one of the camera shot used is a medium shot. Two of the actors (Lincoln and Benjamin) and the setting is in frame. This shows they were having a conversation as only the waist to the head is visible. The second camera shot used is an over the shoulder shot at (1:36).We can see this as we are looking from behind Michael Scofeild and focusing on the the subject which is Lincoln.
The close-up shot used at 0:49 is focusing on Sara and showing us her emotion which is unhappy and tearful. We can also tell she is unhappy as the things she is telling her son is not joyful or happy.
Two camera angles:
One of the two camera angles used is a low angle shot at 2:09. We can see Lincoln trying to get attention of Michael who is walking down the stairs ignoring him.The intention of a low angle shot is looking powerful and strong however in this scenario it makes Lincoln look small as he is kneeing down and begging Michael to listen to him.The camera angle, unusual perspective shown at 1:20, shows we have to look at Michael through the cage, not without it.It reminds us Michael has no freedom as he is trapped in a cage and a rail blocking him from being in contact with the people who have come to see him.
Camera movements:
At the time 0:45 you see Michael Scofeilds son looking right then turning left to look at his mother very quickly. This is called a pan camera movement,it creates the feeling of drama.A dolly is used at 1:52 to 1:54.I can tell this because the scene is a fast moving sequence as Lincoln is speed walking. To get this effect they most likely used a dolly to stay in sync with the person walking. This creates the feeling of suspense as it must be leading to somewhere. The audience might also feel as if they are right beside him too.
There is also a hand held seen at 1:37 to to 1:39 as it is unsteady and creates the fact of realism and urgency. The urgency in this scene is that Michael Scofeild can not recognise his own brother and friend which confuses some of the viewers.
At 1:11 of the clip there is a slight zoom showing us to focus on the tattoos which was not there before. It makes the subject closer and for us to focus and to think about why they are there. They want our main focus to be on his hand.
